Great ski, great snow and great sun. Still risks of avalanche, so staying on the opened slops is the good choice of the day!

Christmas diner at la Vallombreuse.

First time in 13 teen years!
We had our Christmas diner up stairs, near the fire place. A great time, sharing with family and friends the cosy atmosphere of the place. We all so much enjoyed it.

Walking on the Semnoz.

Lovely sunny day on top of the Semnoz. 1699m. Shoeing the whole tour in 4hours with not always much snow and some ice. The view is just fabulous with a 380° on Parmelan, Dents de Lanfon, pointe Percée, mont Blanc, dôme and aiguille du Goûter, Dent du Géant, aiguille du Midi, massif du Beaufortain, mont Pourri, massif des Bauges, massif des Écrins, Dent du Chat, as well as the 3 lakes : Bourget, Leman and Annecy. We ended up having a great lunch at "Les Rochers Blancs": goat cheese Tartiflette in the sun with home made apple and blueberry tarte. You have to try this next time!

First tracks of the season.

Great 3 hours walk in soft powdered snow through crunchy iced trees. Unfortunately the sun was not with us.

Bonne Fête Saint-Nicolas. Quand j'étais petite, il nous apportait des clémentines et des sucres d'orge.

Incredibly beautiful!

This is just what the lake looks like now. Just can't get over such flabbergasting views. All taken in Talloires. Certainly one of the most breath taking spot on earth.

Dimanche - La Fête du Boudin.

There was « boudin noir» (a strange french blood sausage mixed with different herbes !), apples, ham on the bone, oysters, wine, cakes, lotery, the school’s Christmas market, pigs, sheeps, friends, music, Zumba dancing… A warm atmosphere for a real village feast, supporting « Soleil Soleil ». This local association helps local families within which a child is affected by orphan disease.
